FWD People LLC ("FWD," "we," "us," or "our") is a marketing agency based in Brooklyn, New York. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit fwdpeople.com, request our content, or communicate with us about our business.

1. When this policy applies
This policy covers our public website and related inquiries, content requests, marketing communications, and business relationships. "Personal information" means information that identifies you, relates to you, or can reasonably be linked to you.
Some activities may have a separate privacy notice, including employment, internal employee systems, or a particular project or service. Where a separate notice applies, read it for details about that activity. When we process information on a client's behalf and under its instructions, the client's privacy notice and our agreement with that client may govern that processing. Contact us if you are unsure which notice applies.
2. Information you provide
The information we receive depends on how you interact with us:
- Contact inquiries. Our contact form collects your first and last name, email address, and message. We also receive information you choose to provide by email, phone, or other direct communication.
- Reports and other content. Some content request forms collect your name, email address, company, job role, and the report or resource you request. Other resources are available without submitting a form.
- Business communications. If you discuss a potential engagement or work with us, we may receive professional contact details, your organization and role, correspondence, and information relevant to the relationship. Your colleagues or business contacts may provide your details when introducing you or coordinating work.
- Job inquiries. If you contact us about a role, we receive the information you send. Applications submitted through a recruiting platform are also subject to the notices provided through that application process.
You choose what to submit, although we may be unable to respond or provide requested content without the information needed for that request. Please do not include patient information, medical records, payment card details, government identification numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information in our general website forms or unsolicited emails.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our website infrastructure and third-party services may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, interactions with content, approximate location derived from technical information, and the date and time of your visit.
Cookies and similar technologies may recognize a browser, measure website use, or remember a choice, such as dismissing a message. Depending on campaign settings, our email marketing provider may also record whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked. These signals can be affected by your email software and privacy settings.
4. How we use information
We use information as relevant to the interaction to:
- Respond to questions, discuss potential work, and manage business communications.
- Provide requested reports, resources, and other content.
- Send newsletters, insights, invitations, or other marketing communications, subject to applicable requirements and your choices.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website and understand which content visitors find useful.
- Receive and respond to job inquiries or direct applicants to the appropriate application process.
- Help detect misuse, protect our systems, and investigate technical or security issues.
- Maintain relevant business records, handle privacy requests, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
Submitting a contact inquiry or requesting a report does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Report forms offer an optional, unchecked email signup. If you choose it, new subscriptions require confirmation through an email from our marketing provider. Existing email preferences are not automatically changed by a report request.
5. When we disclose information
Service providers. We use other companies to support website hosting, content management, form storage, internal communication, email delivery, analytics, and recruiting. For example, our current website uses Vercel for hosting, Sanity for content management, Supabase for form records, Slack for internal form notifications, Mailchimp for email marketing, Google Analytics for website measurement, and Ashby for recruiting.
Information submitted through a form can be stored in a database and included in an internal notification so our team can respond. Information from a report signup can also be sent to our email marketing platform. Providers receive information relevant to the services involved; a particular interaction does not necessarily involve every provider listed above.
Legal and protective purposes. We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security, investigate suspected misuse, or establish or defend legal claims.
Business transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of some or all of our business, subject to applicable legal requirements.
At your direction. We may disclose information when you ask us to, authorize a disclosure, or use a feature that shares information with another organization. Third-party tools may also collect information directly, as described below.
6. Contact lists and advertising
We do not sell or rent contact lists. We do not currently run advertising retargeting based on visits to this website.
We do use analytics and third-party website services. Those activities are described in this policy and should not be understood as an absence of data collection or disclosure to other companies.
If we introduce website retargeting in the future, we will update this policy and provide any notices, consent mechanisms, or opt-out choices required by applicable law before beginning that activity.
7. Cookies, analytics, and third-party tools
Website functions. Cookies can help remember website interactions, including whether you have already dismissed a promotional message. A functional cookie may remember a dismissed message for up to 14 days. Browser settings can usually block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions, and settings generally apply to the particular browser and device you use.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand website traffic and engagement. These tools load when you visit the website. Google may receive information about your browser, device, and activity on the website. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. That tool concerns Google Analytics; it does not stop all website logging or all third-party collection.
Other website services. Hosting, content delivery, and web-font providers may also receive technical information needed to deliver the website. Their handling is described in their privacy notices. External social links take you to the relevant service only when you follow them; we do not load X/Twitter widgets. Third parties may combine information they receive with other information they hold, depending on their practices and your settings.
Do Not Track. The website does not currently change its behavior in response to the older browser "Do Not Track" signal. This does not limit rights available under applicable privacy law. Contact IT@fwdpeople.com with questions about your privacy choices.
8. Your marketing choices
You can stop receiving our marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting IT@fwdpeople.com. Use the email address that receives the messages so we can identify the relevant subscription.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from responding to an inquiry or sending communications needed for an existing business relationship. We may retain a limited record of an unsubscribe request to help avoid sending further marketing to that address. You can also use your email software's controls to limit remote image loading or other tracking features.
9. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the type of information, why it was collected, our relationship with you, and applicable legal or business requirements. Relevant considerations include whether an inquiry or engagement remains active, whether a record is needed for contractual, accounting, legal, or security purposes, and whether we need to preserve a communication preference or resolve a dispute.
Different systems can have different retention settings. Removing information from an active system may not immediately remove copies in backups or records that must be retained for a permitted purpose. You can request deletion using the contact details below; any legal exceptions or other limits will be considered when handling the request.
10. Security
We seek to protect personal information using measures appropriate to the information and the systems involved. No website, email service, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to send through our website or by email.
If you believe information you provided to us has been compromised, contact IT@fwdpeople.com. Please describe the concern without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Privacy requests and rights
Depending on where you live, the law that applies, and the circumstances, you may have rights to:
- Ask whether we process your personal information and request access to or a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information or delete information.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Opt out of activities that applicable law defines as a sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, where those activities and rights apply.
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, where that right applies.
To make a request, email IT@fwdpeople.com with the subject "Privacy request." Describe what you are requesting and your interaction with FWD, including the email address you used. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or authority, locate relevant records, and protect someone else's information. Please do not send identification documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate method.
Rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Where the law permits an authorized agent to act for you, we may need evidence of that authority. We will handle requests within the time periods required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason as required by law.
Where an appeal right applies, you can ask us to review a decision by replying to our response or emailing the same address with the subject "Privacy appeal." You may also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator or attorney general responsible for your location. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable privacy law.
12. International visitors
FWD is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

13. Children
This website is intended for a business and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact IT@fwdpeople.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Other websites and services
Our website links to services operated by others, including social platforms and recruiting services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Linking to a service does not mean that we control how it collects or uses information. Review the relevant notice before providing information through another service.
15. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, services, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will appear on this page with its updated effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it.
