It’s Women’s History Month, and as a business founded and led by women, it’s an occasion that’s close to our hearts. To honor the initiative this year, we want to highlight the important work of The Brigid Alliance, whose digital campaigns we’ve been working on since 2022.
This year’s theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion”, which is exactly what the female founders of Brigid have built their organization doing.
Storytelling has been central and inspirational to Brigid’s work since its inception. In their blog celebrating the organization’s five year anniversary, founders Carol Davis, Lenore Davis and Leah Gould said: ‘The stories we heard of obstacles people faced to get their abortion care were overwhelming; yet the community-level work that was happening all over the country was inspiring and hopeful.’
The oldest art form still drives impact today. In that same blog, Carol, Lenore and Leah went on to say ‘[Women’s] stories are threads in the fabric of Brigid’s history, and they reinforce the importance of our work every day.’
One woman’s story
Our recent fundraising campaign with The Brigid Alliance told the story of Lucile. Just one of the many women the organization has helped with the cost and logistics of gaining access to abortion. Bringing the reality of the abortion journey to life through Lucile’s own words was critical to the surrounding brand messaging and the surge in donations it generated.
